It’s that time in the Semester, and last Tuesday some other Student Workers and I went out to lunch for some well needed R&R. We went to a local hole-in-the-wall and personal favorite of mine: Tune-up Cafe!file9Located on the corner of Cortez and Hickox, Tune-up is a partially self-serve “New Mexican” restaurant with an interesting twist on traditional New Mexican cuisine. But if you don’t want to go, because you think all New Mexican food tastes the same. Think again. The Chef is from El-Salvador and incorporates authentic Latin American flavors into his New Mexican food to create a taste sensation unlike another. Ok maybe I’m exaggerating a little, but its so good, that even Guy Fieri ate there on his way to flavor town (if that means anything to you).file-2The chile is full of flavor instead of being spicy just to be hot, and is so good that even a person like my girlfriend, who hates chile, always orders extra on her burrito. I myself, always order their Enchiladas, x-mas style of course, and clean the plate!

But if New Mexican food isn’t your style the Tune-up Cafe has some other “comfort classics”– Ehsan ordered their burger which he seemed to enjoy!file2-1

When visiting Santa Fe you have to eat at Tune-up!file7
