A few weeks ago, St. John’s College won yet another match against the Naval Academy at the annual croquet event. More than anything the event is a giant, fancy lawn party. Johnnies, Middies and Townies (whom we call the Annapolitans) dress up in vintage 20 style clothes and spectate the lawn sport. It’s a festive event, almost from the likes of the parties that the Great Gatsby had.
The video above captured the last moments of the game. Though it is a lawn sport, the last few moments were quite tense. Enjoy! And special thanks to all who contributed the mobile phone footage.
