Over at the Huffington Post, Christopher Nelson, president of St. John’s in Annapolis, blogs about a pressing and vital issue in a world characterized by increasing specialization and financial difficulty: is a liberal education worth it?
President Nelson affirms that it is, in many ways. He writes:
On the level of career and finances, a liberal education continues to hold its own. But even if it did not, it would still remain worth it for the fire that it ignites in the soul, which lights the paths to be followed along the journey through life.
